Throughout the 20th century scientific and technical progress gained steam and isn't going to dump speed. Whom to thank for those conveniences which we use daily and what distance was covered by people to the opening?

The Siberian State Aerospace University bears a name of Reshetnev Mikhail Fedorovich. M. F. Reshetnyov possesses more than 200 scientific works and inventions. Under his management or with his direct participation about 30 types of space complexes and systems have been developed. He has brought an essential contribution to the development of the Russian satellite communication systems and satellite navigation. This surname is known too much not only in our city, but also in the country. But what was the beginning of his scientific activity?

In 1939 15-year-old Mikhail Fedorovich after the termination of high school couldn't enter the Moscow aviation institute and hasn't been accepted because of his age. The next year luck has smiled to him and he has been accepted on the first course. But war has forced him to leave study, but not to postpone his favourite business. After passing courses of the Serpukhov military school of aviation he served in the 26th spare destructive regiment in a rank of the sergeant of technical service. Mikhail Fedorovich with the diploma with honors has ended his study after the war. Further his scientific career developed promptly. Since 1959 M. F. Reshetnyov becomes the chief of "east" branch OKB-1 placed in the city of Krasnoyarsk-26 (the city of Zheleznogorsk of Krasnoyarsk Region now).

In conclusion, if the person burns with science, it is eager for new knowledge and opening, then nothing can prevent him. And through any difficulties the true scientist will strive for knowledge: through thorns to stars!
