It is generally agreed today that scientific knowledge plays vital role in modern life and profoundly influenced the course of human civilization. The real truth is that scientific technologies appear to be an integral part of human’s life so that they become invisible and transparent, although it is difficult to imagine life without different scientific inventions. Let us consider advantages and disadvantages of modern scientific knowledge.

First and foremost, such spheres as manufacturing technology, medical technology, technology of infrastructure and, of course, space-travel technology, have irreversibly changed the culture of each country, providing more opportunities for life expansion.

Another  good news is that science developed different techniques to make use of energy. Nuclear power plants are based on a comparatively new technology; however, one cannot deny that nuclear technology can be a danger. Today we are able to use renewable energy: wind, solar and biomass energy for current production, besides help our nature to lower the environment pollution.

One of the arguments to support this idea is the advancements made by research in medical science minimized risks. Today babies are born in hospitals where there is a little chance of their getting disease. Purification of water and food is also an important thing introduced by science in this aspect. So basically, science has been saving the lives and the well being of the people for many years already.

On the other hand, we can observe that some people do not trust technology in spite of all the benefits it has brought to them because scientific inventions can become a weapon. According to some experts science has separated humanity from nature. It means that scientist must remember about   ethics of responsibility. The aim of science should be not to damage reality, but to unfold and cause to flourish humanity.

In conclusion, I can say that science has actually expanded the abilities of humanity in each sphere. Modern science tries to predict what the humanity will need tomorrow and creates corresponding innovations today. One must admit that scientific knowledge is the key to the future of the human civilization.
