«Our Past is the basis of our Future»

We live in a world where practically everybody dreams to become an educated person. We want to graduate from a university, get a good job and apply the received knowledge in practice. In the 21st century of computerization and scientific-technical progress knowledge is necessary for all of us. With its help, human mind can work miracles. Already as long ago as in the 17th century an English philosopher Francis Bacon asserted, that knowledge is power, and this saying is still vital.

Modern science is not only a basic form of cognition of nature and society, but also it provides scientific knowledge for a man and it is the most important instrument of his life. Humankind has already been going on the way of high-tech development for a very long time. Today very many discoveries have already been made and even more are to be made.

It is true that scientific knowledge plays an important role in the modern world. One argument in support of that are scientific breakthroughs and discoveries of humanity. Undoubtedly, an example of this would be the first flight into space made by Yuri Gagarin.  Despite of the fact that this flight took place in the 20th century people could consider it as the initial stage in space research.  As a result, today there are many artificial satellites on the orbit of our planet. They provide satellite communications, help to observe climate changes and other studies of the planet, the galaxy and other space objects. What is more, people have already visited the Moon and are exploring the Mars.  Life doesn`t stand still.

We are sure that still greater perspectives will open tomorrow in the field of science and technology. Moreover, great scientific achievements of the 21st century should be beneficial for the humankind. Although human life isn`t eternal, science and knowledge cross the threshold of centuries. Nobody is able to know everything, but people always want to study and expand their knowledge, which confirms the assertion of Stanislavsky: «You may consider each day, when you didn`t add a new piece of knowledge, though a small one, to your education, to be ineffectual and forever lost for you».
